After losing my father, there was a space in our home that nothing could fill.

But something else came instead.

Responsibility.

At just 8 years old, I started to feel like I was no longer a child.
I felt like I had to become the man of the house.

I began doing things my father used to do.
Answering the door.
Receiving visitors.
Going to the market.

But something else changed too.

I started to push back against my motherโ€™s authority.
Not because I wanted to disrespect herโ€ฆ
But because I felt I had to take control.

I didnโ€™t understand it at the time.

But looking back now, I see the truth:

Responsibility can shape youโ€ฆ
But taking it too early can also confuse you.

Lesson 1:
Growing up too fast doesnโ€™t make you stronger.
It just changes you sooner than youโ€™re ready for.
